title

Each One Save One is a non-profit organization dedicated to reversing the plight of children in our community through recruiting, training and supporting an army of volunteer mentors throughout the metropolitan area. Amidst the devastation of violence, drugs, teen pregnancy and crime in out community today, the future appears grim unless we, as individuals and corporations, act decisively to effect positive changes and offer concrete alternatives to this generation.

Each One Save One is an area-wide network whose purpose is to provide mentors for existing programs. Each One Save One also works with school districts and local government agencies to establish workable mentoring programs where none exist. The purpose of Each One Save One is to recruit, screen, train, and support mentors. Training, guidance and support will also involve mentees, parents and teachers.

Each One Save One was founded in 1994. Hurricane Katrina destroyed the physical offices of Each One Save One but not the spirit of the caring adults across our community willing to give an hour a week to encourage a young person. Corporations such as Brooke Companies, Federal Reserve Bank, Touro Infirmary and W & T Offshore support Each One Save One by providing financial support and/or encouraging their employees to spend one lunch hour a week working with a young person at a local school.
